WHY C A U S E
C-A-U-S-E (Consortium for the Advancement of Underprivileged Scholastic Education) was registered in the year 2010 as non-profit organization in Hyderabad, with the specific mission to provide wholesome education to the underprivileged, to extend skill-based training to the unemployed, vulnerable youth, and to create a strong platform for sustained community development.
Our significant spotlight is on different contemporary social issues like Elimination of Child Labour, Protection of Child Rights, Education, Women Empowerment, Skill Development, Community Development and Natural Disaster Relief.
Education not only builds knowledge, capabilities, life skills and values amongst children but also develops their creative, social, and emotional abilities. It is crucial for their cognitive and personal development, including critical thinking and problem-solving.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF C A U S E ?
C A U S E’s mission is to empower underprivileged children, youth and their families and community through relevant education, innovative healthcare, and market-focused livelihood programmes. We aim to deploy best possible methodology and technology for achieving ideal SROI (social return on investment), to practice and promote good governance, to link business competitiveness of the corporate with social development initiatives and to sensitize the privileged section of society to promote Civic Driven Change.

Education alone has the power to liberate people from the vicious cycle of poverty – not only in terms of earning a livelihood but also in becoming aware of the rights and freedoms that a citizen is endowed with. Thus, empowering individuals and making them self-sufficient.

WHO ALL ARE THE TARGET BENEFICIARIES?
Children, their families and the communities are the target groups of C A U S E with children at the centre stage. The organization believes that a child’s education cannot be taken care of without taking care of the family, especially the mother, and the communities they belong to.
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
C A U S E believes that unless members of the civil society are involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. We encourage and invite individuals for volunteer opportunities and volunteer registration, to be an active part of our organization and share the same vision and purpose as us – to work for the welfare of children and their families. Volunteers are the backbone of every organization – they not only carry the organization’s ideals within them, but also spread the message far and beyond, sensitizing the society towards the cause. WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU FOLLOW IN THE EDUCATION PROGRAMMES?
Our educational programme – Mission Education, for underprivileged children, follows the curriculum of the respective state board where the project is present and operational.
WHAT IS YOUR HEALTHCARE PROGRAMME?
C A U S E on Wheels (a mobile hospital programme) is the flagship healthcare programme of C A U S E. In addition, Health with C A U S E is another programme which provides urgent and specialized health services through multi-specialty health camps across India.
How does C A U S E work in the area of women empowerment?
C A U S E works for the girl children and women through its national programme – Abhaya What does Abhaya mean? Abhaya is a Sanskrit word meaning “fearlessness.”
WHAT INFORMATION IS SENT TO THE DONORS?
The donor gets an instant acknowledgement mail along with an SMS. On receiving the reconciliation statement from the bank, a receipt is sent via e-mail immediately, followed by a hard copy by post (within India). The receipt is accompanied by a ‘C A U S E’ Badge which is also a token of appreciation. The donor receives a birthday wish, wishes on important festivals, programme updates and an annual impact report during a year’s time.
DOES C A U S E ACCEPT DONATIONS IN USD OR POUNDS?
Yes, the organization accepts donations in USD and pounds as well but only in the form of cheque, drafts or via online payment gateway. As a policy the organization adhere to all government norms and maintains optimum transparency with the donors. The organization does have an FCRA account for its international’s supporters. However, tax exemptions are applicable as per the country specific guidelines.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A CONSISTENT SUPPORTER TO MEET THE BENEFICIARY PERSONALLY?
While you can visit the school where the children you support are studying we do not encourage donors to directly meet the beneficiaries as we do not want to give special treatment to any child.
CAN ONE DONATE IN KIND (OLD CLOTHES, BOOKS, STATIONARY ETC)?
Usually, in-kind donation is accepted only when there is a need in any of the projects at a given point of time.

HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO THIS ORGANIZATION?
You can contribute by sponsoring a child, by making general donation, by convincing your friends, company, or other companies to provide corporate funding. You can join us and provide voluntary services and there is no specific amount that should be donated. However, all the programs have a detailed breakup of the expenditure.
